Call for Nominations
Open: Spring Semester
Close Nominations: May 10
Nominating Process

  • Request nomination form from the Alumni Relations Office, 501 North Business Complex, The Eli Broad College of Business and The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824-1122. You may also request the form by e-mail at alumni@bus.msu.edu, or phone 517-432-7442.
  • Obtain at least two letters of recommendation and support
  • Complete nomination form
  • Submit completed form to the Alumni Relations Office, address above.

Review and Selection Process

  • Nominations reviewed by Selection Committee: Dean's office and Broad Alumni Association Executive Committee members.
  • Selection Committee submits list of nominees to Broad Alumni Board of Directors for advice and comment.
  • Final selections made by July 1. (No requirement to award if no quality candidates are nominated.)

Notification

  • Letter from the Dean to honoree (immediate)

Presentation

  • Homecoming or other appropriate alumni event

  • Nominations due two weeks later
  • Broad Criteria
    •   Current or past Broad Alumni Association Board member(s)
    Involvement reputation reflect the significance of the MSUAA board
    Willing to serve
  • Call for Nominations
      Dean's Office, Faculty Chairs, Deans, Broad Alumni Association Board
  • Selection of Broad Candidates
      Dean's Office and Broad Alumni Association Executive Committee
  • Notification to Broad Candidates
  • MSUAA Nomination
      Obtain letters of recommendation
    Complete nomination form
    Submit to MSUAA
  • Notification
      MSUAA will notify College and new board members of their selection
    Broad College will notify nominees who are not selected

  • Call for Nominations received from MSUAA mid January
  • MSUAA Close Nominations: early February or March

    Faculty Chairs and Deans, Directors
    Broad Alumni Association Board Members
  • Review and Selection (Broad College)
      Within 10-15 days of nominations close
    Selection Committee:
    Dean's office
    Broad Alumni Association Executive Committee members
    No requirement to award if no quality candidates are nominated
    Send list of Nominees to Broad Alumni Board for advice and comment
  • Nomination
      Complete MSUAA nomination forms.
    Submit forms to MSUAA
  • Notification to winners is sent from MSUAA
  • Presentation
      Grand Awards Ceremony - Homecoming Week
    Honoree and guests hosted by Broad faculty and staff at the event
