Endowment to support GLBT scholarship at MSU
Stephen Pougnet (BA MLM ’85) in partnership with Christopher Green have established an endowed scholarship benefiting students in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and/or transgendered (GLBT) community who aspire to professional careers in which they contribute to society and are role models for other students with similar potential.
“First and foremost, we wanted to contribute to an environment that promotes diversity at Michigan State University,” says Pougnet. “This scholarship provides another resource for MSU to assist students belonging to a sexual or gender minority to succeed in their degree program and have the confidence to succeed in their chosen careers.”
The annual award is available to full-time students who have achieved junior or senior status with a 3.0 GPA and who have shown leadership and involvement in the GLBT community. Preference is given to student applicants from the Broad School.
