Alumni, Faculty and Student
Organizations Show the Way

The Broad Welcome Night, Tues., Sept. 3, will introduce new juniors and seniors to the College of Business faculty, student organizations, and young alumni.

Alumni guest, Dan Johnson, (BA '99), will encourage students to get involved in student associations, and to pursue resume building internships. Currently Six Sigma Black Belt at GE Medical Systems, Johnson frequently returns to campus as a representative of GE, recruiting for his corporation, providing classroom support and working with student organizations.

Students will also get an opportunity to receive fabulous door prizes, including two $250 textbook scholarships, donated by the Broad Alumni Association.

Broad Gets Down to Business at the MSUAA Tailgate

If you’re traveling to East Lansing for the MSU vs California game, be sure to check out the MSUAA Hospitality Tent. The Eli Broad College of Business will be the featured college with displays and information about Executive Development Programs, as well as alumni and community service activities. You’ll find the MSU Alumni Tent in the usual location, right next to the North Tunnel between the stadium and the IM West Building, 9 a.m. ‘til the kick off at 12:10 p.m.

It’s also your chance to get in the drawing for a new 2003 Porsche Boxster. Students will be on hand to sign you up for the $100 ticket. Just 2,000 tickets will be sold and the drawing takes place at Homecoming, Oct. 19. (You need not be present to win.) Can’t make to the game? Raffle tickets are available for on-line purchase at www.bus.msu.edu. Raffle proceeds benefit The Eli Broad College of Business at MSU.

Celebrity MBA Lends Support to Scholarship Efforts

Broad Alumnus (and Houston Astros owner) Drayton McLane , MBA ’59, donated his private suite at the Astros Stadium to the MSU Alumni Club of Houston for their scholarship fundraising event. The club raised more than $1,000.
