The East and Central Michigan Roundtables of the Council of Logistics Management are seeking Michigan volunteers for the February 26, 2004, Logistics Student Shadow Day and Dinner. According to John Fitch, Broad information liaison for the Council, logistics professionals can get details and sign up at CLM Shadow Day. Volunteer registration is requested by February 14, 2004.
Outbound calling by representatives of the Broad Alumni Directory Project, which was halted in November 2003, will resume February 1. The calls are the final phase of alumni update efforts conducted on behalf of the Broad School by PCI Inc.
The release date for the directory is expected to be in the late summer of 2004. If you have questions about the directory, or if you are not contacted to update your alumni record, please email alumni@bus.msu.edu, or call Connie Lawson at 517-432-7442.
Broad grads in southern Florida will be getting together on the evening of March 12 at the Inn on Fifth in Naples, Florida, for an alumni reception. Sponsored by the Broad Alumni Association, the association's board member Bill Crowley will act as co-host.
With Big Ten Basketball Tournament play-offs on the schedule for that week, it might be an opportunity for this group of alumni to cheer on the Spartans that Friday night!

A new group of MSU alumni (all majors) in the San Francisco (East Bay) Area are getting together for social activities and would like to invite business grads to participate. The group sponsored a game watch in January and planned a wine tasting on January 31. Two of the Broad School's newest alumni added awards from the MSU Board of Trustees to their resumes. The students, Zoƫ E. Waxman of South Haven, and Matthew C. Pikos of Troy, received the awards at commencement for having the highest scholastic averages at the close of their last semester (Fall 2003).
Waxman majored in supply chain management. Her MSU grade point average was 3.9813. Pikos an accounting major, graduated with an MSU grade point average of 3.95.
