Strategic Networking Session for Chicago Area Alumni set for June 12

With a goal of creating the most high-powered alumni network in Chicagoland, Broad alumnus Steve Baskinski and members of the Chicago Area Alumni Association hosted the club's inaugural MSU Alumni Strategic Networking session May 8. Coming up is the June 12 session from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. at Spherion, 10 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2200, Chicago, IL 60606.

"Waiting to network until you're looking for a job can be 'too late'," explains Basinski. "Those who attend our meetings will know what networking is, what it means, and how to use this very powerful career tool for themselves and others."

Bring your business card, bio or resume on June 12! For directions or more information, call 312/759-7100.

Alumni Golf Outings are in Full Swing

Crisp spring breezes and blue skies welcomed golfers at the May 13 Chicago Area Business Alumni Golf Outing and Auction. Scores were low thanks to brisk "mulligan" sales, and bidding was high. The event raised close to $3000 for the Broad School. Thanks goes to the planning committee: Jane Adams-Dibbern (BA '75), and includes alumni Rick Frohock (BA '92, MBA '92), Chris Jordan (BA '80) and Charles Soria (BA '79).

Sign up today to take part in the Weekend MBA Alumni Golf Outing, June 7, in Hartland, Mich., or the Executive MBA Alumni Golf Outing, June 9, in Novi, Mich. Go to Broad Alumni Events for details and registration.

New on-line feature eases event registration

Chicago area alumni were the first Broad alumni group to use the new on-line registration feature at the Broad website.

"On-line registration is a tool that will ease staff and volunteer management of Broad event registration," explains Broad Alumni Coordinator, Connie Lawson. Complete registration details and payment are available on the secure website. Upcoming events using this feature include the Executive MBA and Weekend MBA golf outings.
