U.S. New and World Report rankings released The Eli Broad College of Business moved up in the rankings of the nation’s top 25 undergraduate business programs with its 21st place ranking. The report was released in late August by the U.S. News and World Report magazine. Some Broad programs were also individually ranked: You’re Invited! Come back to campus October 4 for the MSU homecoming and the 2003 Broad Alumni Homecoming Tailgate. The tent will be located on the grass just north of the Stadium and southeast of the Sparty Statue on Red Cedar Road. Park in the Kellogg Center Ramp or take free campus shuttles from parking areas on the perimeter of campus to the stadium. Pre-game activities are planned for the three hours before kick off of the MSU v Indiana homecoming game. Cost per person is $15 (children 12 and under free). Bob Lutz to keynote Broad School innovation forum The 2003 Broad Executive Forum will host best selling author and legendary automobile enthusiast Bob Lutz as keynote speaker for the school’s 38th annual program. The afternoon through evening schedule also includes a workshop and panel discussion all on the topic of future innovation in the automobile industry. Event registration is $90 per person for the program, reception and dinner and keynote address. On-line registration is available. Alumni directory update questionnaire mailed in September We are pleased to announce the publication of the 2004 Eli Broad College of Business and Eli Broad Graduate School of Management Alumni Directory. When published this directory will be a valuable tool to help you renew and re-establish connections with former classmates and friends. Alumni volunteers named to new Management Advisory Council John Wagner, faculty chairperson of the Broad Management Department, announced recently that 10 business leaders and alumni would form the new advisory council. Council members will meet for the first time in October 2003 at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development. The new members are: Liz Azoni (BA 76, MBA ’98), John F. Brocci (BA ’65), Michael R. Ferrari (BA ’62, M ’63, PhD. ’68), Al Gambrel (BA ’76), Charles E. Hudson (M ’72), Roman T. Kulich (BA ’74), Daryl J. Minor (MBA ’97), James E. Oesterreicher (BA ’64), James M. Proebstle (BA ’66, MBA ’68), and Joseph B. Wilson (BA ’81). Interested in the Weekend or Executive MBA Program? Visit one of the Fall 2003 Information Sessions, or sign up for a closer look at the Weekend MBA and Executive MBA programs through participating in one of the Fall Exploration Programs. Information Sessions feature a presentation followed by a question and answer opportunity with program staff, current students, and alumni. Sessions are held in various locations around the state.
