Broad-sponsored event seeds Business Alumni Network interest in the Bay Area
Five Eli Broad College of Business alumni shared strategies that earned their companies recognition from Inc. magazine and other industry publications at a panel discussion titled "Inside Entrepreneurship: Breaking out, Breaking in," sponsored by the Broad School Alumni Association in March 2005.
During the afternoon industry panel discussion, entrepreneurs detailed how to think and act like an entrepreneur inside the corporate culture while providing answers about start-ups and making the move from corporate to entrepreneur.
The panel moderator was consultant and Broad School Alumni Association member Anne Hiller. The alumni panelists were: Shelley Harrison, founder and CEO, Launch Pad, Inc.; Dan Roselli, president, Red F Marketing and member Broad School Alumni Association; Dave Dutch, president, Networkcar, Inc., 2006 president, Broad School Alumni Association; and Jim Wirth, senior principal and practice leader, Knightsbridge.
"Business-focused events like this bring an important networking dimension to our alumni activities," says Robert Duncan, the Eli and Edythe L. Broad Dean of Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business. "We look forward to events in 2006-2007 that will carry on this alumni effort in the Bay Area.”
