She was the Director of Public Outreach last semester and is looking forward to a successful year as President. Dominique hopes to develop HRA into an organization that will help develop students professionally by gaining valuable information that can be used in the work force. This past summer Dominique worked, in Milwaukee, WI at Cooper Power Systems as an HR intern and also participated on the Scotland Study Abroad program. Her favorite part of HRA is all the interesting things she has learned from all the presenters! She has worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for the past three summers in the Talent Acquisition department of human resources. Currently she works in the Operations Training area of Human Resources at Accident Insurance Company of America. She loves all the HR experience she’s gained through hands on experience. E-mail: john2432@msu.edu Ali Johnson is a Human Resource Management major, while also pursuing a minor in Spanish and a specialization in International Business. She is currently working at Starbucks and is also a student employee at the MSU Benefits Office. After studying abroad in Spain last summer, Ali is very interested in learning about the impact HR has on businesses not only here, but around the world. Ali is looking forward to working hard to make HRA even better than it already is! Although she grew up in Minnesota and most of her family is still there, MSU has truly become her home away from home. Ali loves spending time with her friends and family, trying new things, and traveling whenever she can. |

She is pursuing the HR field because she enjoys working with many types of people and learning about their diversity and culture. For this reason, she enjoys studying Spanish and studied abroad in Mexico. This past summer, Brittany interned at an executive recruiting firm and learned about how HR departments interact with external recruiting firms. She has been a member of HRA for the past two years and thinks it is a great organization to get involved in because it allows you to network with human resource professionals and learn more about the field. She hopes this year?s HRA is a successful and fun one! |

E-mail: dylegow1@msu.edu Victoria has been a member of HRA since the fall of 2008 and she is very excited about being a part of the Eboard this year. She is an HR major with an International Business Specialization in the Eli Broad College of Business. Currently Victoria is a student employee at the MSU Benefits Office. She finds HR to be a very important part of the business spectrum since every corporation begins with its employees. She feels that the innumerable amount of opportunities available in HR is another positive aspect of the field. She also has a strong interest in languages and this past summer Victoria had the opportunity to study Spanish for two months in Spain. Over the past summer, she was a human resources intern for Meridian Township, as well as the MSU undergraduate student government, ASMSU. Some of her key interests in human resources include training and personnel development, employee relations, and staffing. She is not certain what her plans after graduation are as of now, but would eventually like to get an MBA or a Masters in Human Resources and Labor Relations. She has been a member of HRA for the last year and a half and is excited to be a member of Eboard this year. |

E-mail: kacosmel@msu.edu Melissa has been involved with HRA since January 2009. She is looking forward to a great year on eboard as co treasurer and plans on being part of the eboard next year. Melissa thinks HRA is an awesome way to get involved, meet people with your same major and network with different companies. Right now she works at the MSU Human Resources Records Office. She is applying for the business school at the end of the fall semester, hoping to get an internship this upcoming summer, and plans to graduate in May 2011. She enjoys traveling, hiking, going to the beach, camping and being with family and friends as much as she can. |

This will be her first year on the executive board and is looking forward to getting more involved in the organization and serving her fellow members. Currently Rachel has an internship at ASMSU, the Associated Students of Michigan State University, where she works within the HR department on a variety of projects. She plans to graduate in spring of 2011 with a degree in Human Resource Management from the Eli College of Business. She is unsure about what she wants to focus on within her career but is looking forward to jumping into the business world. She is interested in Human Resources because of the personal interaction with team members and the possibility of improving troubled situations. |

Camilla works as a Section Leader in COM100 this and last semester. She is interested in learning recruiting process and negotiation skills in Business. E-mail: rothjon@msu.edu Dr. Jonelle Roth has her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Illinois. As a Professor of Practice in the Management Department at MSU, she teaches courses in Human Resources Management, Negotiation Skills, Business Ethics, and Organizational Behavior. She has also conducted corporate training in the areas of team building, negotiation, communication, power and influence, leadership, outplacement, and change management for various companies. Her research has focused on communication, conflict, group decision making, and sexual harassment. She has published numerous articles and is continuing to do research on these topics. She is also a trained mediator and was previously a volunteer mediator for the court system in Georgia. |
