For Clients
The Marketing Mix is a unique organization created to give students hands-on, real life, business experience. Students get experience by offering businesses free marketing consulting services which then gives the businesses and students an opportunity to learn more about marketing and capitalize on the resources at Michigan State University.
Our Process
To request our consulting services, please fill out the form on our Request Services page.
The last day to request services for the Spring 2009 semester is Friday, January 16. A member of the Marketing Mix Executive Board will follow up with your request, providing you with a tentative timeline for next steps.
Each accepted client will be assigned four to seven project team members, including one Project Manager. The Project Manager will serve as your main point of contact throughout the semester. Our Project Managers are successful Marketing Mix members who have been with us for at least one semester, have completed at least one Project, and applied and for the position.
Your initial contact with the Project Manager will be to arrange a team meeting, at which point you, the Client, will provide a list of manageable objectives to be completed by April 22, 2009. Additionally, a communication plan may be created to determine the frequency of contact and expected turn-around time.
Prior to beginning work, the team members and client will reach consensus on the set list of objectives and communication plan, signing a statement of work. Throughout the semester the team will take actions to meet the objectives, ultimately presenting their recommendations by April 22, 2009. After the final presentation you will be asked to complete a survey that assesses the quality of our work, and provide us with the results you experienced in terms of implemented recommendations and direct measureable results.
Thank you for your interest in our organization!
**Please note that the Marketing Mix is a consulting organization that does not offer labor services or offer payment for any expenses the client wishes to incur. Students' first priority is their degree requirements.
