President - Meggie Powers E-mail: powers38@msu.edu Hi everyone! I’m Meggie, and am a senior majoring in Supply Chain Management with specializations in International Business and Environmental Studies. Last summer, I lived just outside of Chicago while working as a Procurement Intern for Diageo. I have also had an internship with Whirlpool’s Global Procurement Department and spent three-and-a-half weeks on a study abroad program in Paris. I am currently engaged in international and environmental business law research. I am so excited to be returning to be returning to the Executive Board. We have a great team that is eager to present you with a wide range of opportunities, including professional and social networking, leadership development, community service, and site visits – just to name a few! I strongly encourage you to get involved, as there is something for everyone. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all over the coming year! Vice President - Varun Paranjpe E-mail: paranjpe@msu.edu Hello everyone, my name is Varun and I will be a senior here at Michigan State this fall. I have had internships with Kraft Foods and Rolls-Royce. I look forward to meeting all of you this year and improving SCMA. My goal is for all of our members to get the maximum benefit from each of our meetings. My goal is to bring in diverse, industry leading companies. I want to assist all of our members in achieving their career objectives. I hope all of you can be involved with SCMA in a manner that suits you best. Whether that be attending our meetings, planning our community service events or playing on our IM basketball team. Please don't hesitate to tell me what I can do to make SCMA the best student organization on campus. I enjoy playing all sports, being active and new experiences and challenges. Victory for MSU! |

Treasurer - Matt Turckes E-mail: turckesm@msu.edu Hey All, my name is Matt Turckes, I’ll be the Treasurer for SCMA this year. I’m a supply chain management senior this year. I’ve been active in SCMA the past several years and I’m excited to help make this year the best yet. This past summer I interned at Dell in Austin, TX. At Dell I worked on several projects related to logistics, streamlining repair processes, and contract management. Previous years I worked with Vector Marketing (Cutco) as a sales representative and branch manager. SCMA is the place to be if you’re interested in learning about supply chain management, networking with supply chain companies, and getting to know your fellow supply chain students. Director of Operations - Ashley Kruger E-mail: krugeras@msu.edu I am a senior this year and will graduate in May 2010. I have lived in Pinckney, Michigan for the past eight years and lived in various states before Michigan. This past summer I interned at 3M Company in their Sourcing Operations Department in St. Paul, MN. I was responsible for supporting iindirect sourcing and outsourced manufacturing & Hard goods commodity groups in projects including but not limited to: Supplier Searchers, Analyzing Data, RFP Process, Process Mapping, Market Research, Organization of 2008 Global Logistics Spend, TQRDC Supplier Survey, and an e-Auction. This 2009-2010 school year, I am a Business Global Law Teaching Assistant for Dr. Bulich. I am responsible for updating all lecture slides with the most current information on law, policies, etc. I also conduct research for Dr. Bulich. I am looking forward to this year at Michigan State and plan to organize fun events for SCMA that will unite members together, Provide informational tours/on site visits, and help increase your network. |

Career Fair Director - Alex McMall E-mail: mcmallal@msu.edu Hey everybody! I am really looking forward to having the opportunity to serve as Karen’s counterpart as Career Fair Director for the upcoming academic year. A little background: I will be entering my junior year at State and am thrilled to be a student in The Eli Broad College of Business majoring in Supply Chain Management. This past summer I interned with Kraft Foods in Aurora, IL working in Product Supply/Customer Fulfillment and more specifically with Module Inventory Planning out of Kraft’s largest mixing center in the country. I plan on studying abroad next summer on a Marketing and International Comparative Dimensions of Business program that will take me through Paris, Brussels and Barcelona. Once back I will then hopefully start another internship for the remainder of the summer. The SCM Career Fair is really where I got my start in SCMA. I got the awesome opportunity to be an ambassador my freshman year and haven’t looked back since. I know it can be a starting point for so many more of the top tier Supply Chain Management students at Michigan State and I will be looking to support and encourage every single member in their search for that internship, co-op or full-time position. I can honestly give enormous credit to SCMA and the SCM Career Fair for my current and future success and I hope others will see the endless benefits of being involved in SCMA. My goal is to continue to strengthen the relationships between employers/recruiters and our students, because in the end, the opportunities are out there, you just have to go after them, and where better than the Career Fair?! |

Career Fair Director - Karen Domeier E-mail: domeierk@msu.edu Hi Everyone! My name is Karen and I’m this year Career Fair Director (formerly known as Career Fair Coordinator) along with Alex McMall. This summer I interned at Holcim at their Dundee Office in Procurement. I’ve also interned at Schlumberger and John Deere. In the beginning of the summer I had the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program in Japan. Since my sophomore year I’ve been an active member of SCMA and I’m excited to be a part of E-board for my senior year. I’ll be seeing you at this year’s GMMs and the other great events hosting by SCMA. Human Resources Director - Jon Pomorski E-mail: pomorski@msu.edu Hello Spartans, My name is Jon Pomorski and I am the Human Resource Director. This past summer I had the opportunity to intern at Holcim in Dundee, MI. My experience consisted of working in NAPO with the MRO and Explosives Team. If you have any questions about internships I would gladly discuss my position with Holcim. SCMA is planning another great year including trips, meetings, and events. Director of Community Service - Caitlin Barrow E-mail: barrowc2@msu.edu Hello! I am from Vicksburg, MI and am excited to head into my senior year at MSU as the Director of Community Service for the Supply Chain Management Association. I recently traveled to London and had the opportunity to intern for Harrods, where I helped conduct marketing and supply chain research. I also worked as the global logistics intern for Meijer this summer. My main responsibility was to help deploy their Lean Logistics transportation management system.
