Laptop Computer Requirement
Each student is required to have a laptop computer that meets or exceeds the software & hardware specifications as listed below, in order to fully participate in class.

Application Software
- Microsoft Office 2000 Standard application suite or optionally Office XP Standard.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or equivalent web browser.
- Microsoft Outlook Express mail reader or equivalent.
- A current version of Norton or McAfee Anti-Virus software that is configured to scan and obtain virus definition updates on a regular basis.
It is highly recommended that students own or lease a laptop computer that is dedicated for use on the University's Ethernet network for the duration of the program. Each student will be required to perform a one-time, self-guided network configuration using documentation as provided by MSU.
