- Dr. Kang is the MSU Federal Credit Union Endowed Chair in Financial Institutions and Investments as well as the director of M.S. Program in Finance. Dr. Kang received his Ph.D. in finance from the Ohio State University. Prior to his professorship appointment at the Broad School, he was an associate professor at Korea University from 1997 to 1999. He currently serves as a co-editor of the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal and an associate editor of the International Review of Finance, Japan and the World Economy, Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies, and Financial Studies and a research fellow of the Asian Institute of Corporate Governance. Dr. Kang's research has been published in the leading finance journals, such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Business, and Pacific-Basin Finance Journal.
