Broad School joins forces with Sabanci University in Istanbul

While at a recent event for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in Istanbul, Turkey, Interim Dean Elvin C. Lashbrooke signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Broad School and Sabanci University for joint executive education programs.
Together, these organizations will develop and execute non-degree executive education, including workshops, face-to-face teaching, coaching and online components to be taught at Sabanci University or other locations. Initially, programs will be focused on clients in Turkey, but it is expected that strategies developed will soon spread throughout this dynamic region, including neighboring Middle Eastern countries, Eastern Europe, northern Africa and Caucasian countries.
"Combining the strengths of each school will provide new and existing executive education clients with a broader portfolio of expertise and offerings than either institution could provide alone," says Broad School Director of Executive Development Programs David Frayer. "Eventually, this partnership will lead to research collaborations between MSU and Sabanci, which is very exciting."
Sabanci University is home to Michigan State’s very active Turkish Alumni Club, which assists MSU students while doing internships abroad. The School of Management at Sabanci also has a research partnership with MSU’s International Business Center, which is housed in the Broad School.
