Ilies earns AOM scholarly achievement award

Remus Ilies, Valade Research Fellow and Broad School associate professor of Management, was selected to receive the Cummings Scholarly Achievement Award from the Academy of Management’s (AOM) Organizational Behavior (OB) Division. This distinguished group annually honors the scholarly achievement of an early- to mid- career person with this recognition, which was created in honor of the late Professor Larry Cummings.
Ilies received his PhD from the University of Florida in 2003 and holds an MBA from Iowa State University. His work has been published in premier scientific journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Personnel Psychology, and he has received numerous research awards. He currently serves on the editorial boards of Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management and Psihologia Resurselor Umane.
His research focuses on topics such as individual differences, employee well-being, work- family processes, attitudes, leadership and motivation, with a particular interest in understanding the role of emotional processes in explaining outcomes relevant to these research topics.
