Lashbrooke appointed advisor to State Bar committee

Interim Dean Elvin C. Lashbrooke has been appointed as an advisor to the State Bar of Michigan’s Judicial Crossroads Task Force Business Impact Committee.
The task force will work to identify how Michigan’s justice system can better meet the needs of the public, given the immense changes in the state’s economy. The work of the task force will be aided by four committees, with Lashbrooke serving on the Business Impact Committee. Other committees include Court Structure and Resources, Access to Justice, and Technology.
Lashbrooke has served as interim dean of the Broad School since July 2008. He’s also served as dean of the College of Business at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), as an associate dean at the Broad School, and as chair of the department of General Business and Business Law at the Broad School. He received his PhD in Finance from Michigan State University and his LLM and JD from the University of Texas at Austin.
