Resume Drop
- If you have an opportunity that you would like to advertise to students and alumni via SpartanTRAK/InterviewTRAK, but haven't scheduled an on-campus interview date, an alternative is to coordinate a Resume Drop. A Resume Drop allows you to set up an electronic resume submission process coordinated via the Lear Center. With this option, students and alumni will be able to view your position description and they initiate the submission of their resumes.
- Contact your recruiting assistant to further discuss and set up a Resume Drop.
Resume Referral
- If you have an opportunity and you would like to have a search of resumes conducted through the SpartanTRAK system, your recruiting assistant can facilitate this process with you. With this option, any resumes meeting the criteria of the position are electronically forwarded to you. One disadvantage of a Resume Referral is that the students and alumni do not self-initiate the submission of their resumes. Therefore, it results in more of a "cold-calling" campaign on the employer's part to measure if the individual would be interested in the organization and the position.

Targeted Emails to Students
- If you have an opportunity that you would like to have distributed via email to students, the Lear Center recruiting assistants can offer Targeted Emails to students
- Typically, Targeted Emails are more productive when used at the end of a semester and during the summer months
- Contact your recruiting assistant to further discuss and coordinate Targeted Emails
Direct Postings with SpartanTRAK
- Michigan State University has a partnership with SpartanTRAK so that employers can coordinate a fee-based arrangement directly with SpartanTRAK to post a position. This is a computerized job listing service. Using the SpartanTRAK Internet network will ensure prompt processing of your full-time, part-time, and paid internship positions. It will also guarantee immediate exposure of your job posting to a pool of MSU students and alumni in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- These postings appear within the "Jobs and Internships" section of the SpartanTRAK menu that is viewed by students and alumni
To post a position, contact SpartanTRAK at (800) 999-8725. Their customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST to enter your job listings into the database and assist you with composing your ads. This information is accessible to MSU students and alumni 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
