On behalf of The Eli Broad College of Business, I welcome you to the ever-changing Lear Corporation Career Services Center--one component of the renowned Career Services
The Lear Corporation Career Services Center is dedicated to providing undergraduate students (all majors on campus) with highly individualized, progressive career planning and development strategies, while connecting them with employers and alumni for career opportunities in business.
As we continue on our journey, here are some highlights:
- MySpartanCareer —Make sure that you are registered on MySpartanCareer. It is an easy-to-navigate site allowing students to access job/internship postings, career fair information, post resumes, research employers, manage on–campus interviews, and view career-related resources. - Career Gallery 2008 is just around the corner for this coming academic year. We are expecting over 300 companies and 6,000 students to attend the two-day event this October. Check out the website @ www.careergallery.org
- Become a fan of CASH on facebook—this is the Career Advice and Services Hub created by students for students. This dynamic facebook page includes a lot of current information about career events on and off campus, quick and fun videos, career tips, contests, and other new and exciting things to help with your life at MSU. - CASH is sponsored by the MSU Career Services Network and part of the Union Pacific Media Studio within the Lear Center.
- Visit the PLACE: A unique space within the Lear Center that provides undergraduate students with a place to conduct career research, to work on projects, to meet in small groups, to maybe run into an employer and start a "career" conversation, or just to relax and watch today's world news on the plasma screen! It is also be a perfect area for employers to conduct smaller group presentations and networking sessions. We are proud to have the Business Communication Center operate out of the PLACE as well!!
- Get involved with PROJECT GREEN 2008/2009—a collaboration between students and business representatives in order to make a difference in the surrounding community. www.bus.msu.edu/clubs/pg/
- Check out our exciting and visual informational reports on placement statistics, salaries, career destinations, etc.
