MGT 804 International Management (3 credits) Management challenges and roles in a multinational business. Topics include the international environment, strategic planning in global firms, managing people in international organizations, and the future of international management. | |
MGT 806 Management of Organizational Behavior (3 credits) Micro and macro models of organizational behavior applied to the management of people, group processes, and organization design. Topics include motivation, diversity, leadership, group performance, and organization structure and culture. (Note: Open only to students in the joint business- engineering program and to masters-level or higher non-MBA students; MBAs are required to enroll in MBA 824 instead.) | |
MGT 820 Managing the Internetworked Firm (2 credits) Managing the domestic and International uses of the internet. History, technology, ownership, and regulation of the Internet. Modes of communication via the internet. Legal and technical suitability of the Internet. Privacy, security and assess issues. (Note: Available only as a two-credit technology elective; students who receive credit for MGT 821 cannot also receive credit for MGT 820.) | |
MGT 890 Independent Study (variable credit) Faculty-supervised independent study. Topic arranged by agreement between faculty sponsor and student.
