Broad School co-sponsoring first annual
Finding ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency has always been an important strategy for improving business performance. Better management of the supply chain, which affects all companies, is a perfect place to start. That's why the Broad Graduate School of Management is co-sponsoring the first annual Midwest Regional Supply Chain Management Conference & Exposition on Wednesday, April 28 at Steelcase University Learning Center in Grand Rapids. Those attending the daylong conference will reap the benefits of learning from leading industry practitioners as well as key Michigan State University supply chain faculty such as The John H. McConnell University Professor of Business Administration Donald Bowersox, Professor Donald Conlon, and Associate Professor Anthony Ross. "This conference is a wonderful way for us to share our supply chain expertise with business people in West Michigan," says Executive Development Programs Director David Frayer. "We're honored to be a part of it." The conference, which is also being sponsored by the Grand Rapids Chapter of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and by The Right Place, Inc., includes five break out "tracks": People Development, Transportation, Technology Applications, Sourcing and Continuous Improvement. An exhibitor display area and various supply chain technology simulations will also be included. For more information about the first annual Midwest Regional Supply Chain Management Conference and Exposition in Grand Rapids or to register, please call APICS at (616) 248-8900 or visit www.apics-gr.org.
