institute board

Robert Duncan
Robert Duncan

Robert Duncan, the Eli and Edythe L. Broad Dean of the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, was recently named to two international nonprofit boards: the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM).

AACSB Board

Duncan, who has been dean of the Broad School since 2002, was elected to the board of the AACSB for U.S. Accredited Schools through June 2009. He had been an appointed member of the board since June 2005 and served as chair of an AACSB task force to explore the effects of media rankings on business schools.

The AACSB is the professional association for college and university management education and the premier accrediting agency for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs in business administration and accounting. The Broad School has been accredited by the AACSB since 1953.

ISM Board

The ISM, which represents more than 40,000 supply management professionals in 75 countries engaged in the identification, acquisition, access, positioning and management of resources, named Duncan to its 2006 board of senior-level business leaders. The Broad School's supply chain and logistics programs are currently ranked at #2 at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels by U.S. News & World Report.
