The Big Ten Conference recently announced its 2004 Winter Academic All-Big Ten Conference Team, and 32 Spartan undergraduates were among those honored - nine of them Broad School students. To be eligible for the Academic All-Big Ten team, athletes must be a letterwinner in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average of 3.0 or better. The following students have business majors, and the faculty and staff of the Eli Broad College of Business salute their tremendous efforts.
- Senior Jason Andreas, Men's Basketball player from Sugarcreek, Ohio, is a General Management major with a 3.52 GPA.
- Junior Chris Hill, Men's Basketball player from Indianapolis, Ind., is a Finance major with a 3.84 GPA. (Hill was also recognized earlier this year as a First-Team Academic All-American.)
- Junior Jennifer Yarbrough, Women's Gymnastics participant from Williamston, Mich., is a General Business Administration/Pre Law major with a 3.25 GPA.
- Sophomore Matt Wisniewski, Men's Swimming & Diving participant from Plymouth, Mich., is a General Business Administration/Pre Law major with a 3.63 GPA.
- Junior Lauren Becker, Women's Swimming & Diving participant from Monroe, Mich., is an Accounting major with a 3.57 GPA.
- Junior Crystal Spaulding, Women's Swimming & Diving participant from Grand Blanc, Mich., is a Marketing major with a 3.84 GPA.
- Senior Lindsay Fetters, Women's Swimming & Diving participant from Farmington Hills, Mich., is a Marketing major with a 3.13 GPA.
- Sophomore Marsena Vranesic, Women's Swimming & Diving participant from Lebanon, Penn., is a Marketing major with a 3.22 GPA.
- Sophomore Darren McKnight, Wrestling participant from Hixson, Tenn., is an Accounting major with a 3.21 GPA.

This fall, in response to student and alumni suggestions, the Weekend MBA program will expand beyond East Lansing, where it has been since 1995, to Troy, at the MSU Management Education Center.
