Booth receives award for Distinguished Contributions to Honors Students

Finance Professor of Practice Elizabeth Booth recently received the 2006 Honors College Award for Distinguished Contributions to Honors Students. She was nominated by two of her honors students and a staff member for exceptional contributions through teaching, advising and mentoring.

Booth’s interests lie in corporate and international finance, with a focus on domestic and international financial markets, risk and risk management, and investments. She serves as an Honors Adviser for students in the Department of Finance and regularly teaches the honors section of Finance 311, Financial Management. She has been with the Broad School since 1998 and has an MBA from the University of Rhode Island.

One student nominator noted of Booth, her “most compelling attribute … is the interest she takes in the futures of her students. She has pushed me to explore options I would not have pursued …, and I have grown immensely from the experience.”
