Yet another group of Broad grads turn their tassels

face the world with new business degrees this winter

Fall 2004 commencent ceremonies were one of the final duties for MSU President M. Peter McPherson before he stepped down on Dec. 31.

In early December, 442 Broad School students accepted their diplomas as Fall 2004 Michigan State University graduates.

Of the 272 students who graduated with an undergraduate business degree this fall, 54 received a degree in Accounting, 55 received a degree in Finance, 8 received a degree in General Business Administration - Pre-Law, 21 received a degree in General Management, 34 received a degree in Hospitality Business, 4 received a degree in Human Resource Management, 40 received a degree in Marketing and 56 received a degree in Supply Chain Management.

In addition, 170 Broad School students received their graduate-level degrees: 1 Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration graduate, 122 Weekend MBA graduates, 2 Master of Science in Food Service Management graduates, 1 Master of Science in Hospitality Business graduate, 10 Master of Science in Operations and Engineering Management graduates, 9 Master of Science in Logistics graduates and 25 Master of Science in Accounting graduates.

"It's thrilling to know that our faculty and staff helped so many young people become the leaders of tomorrow," said Eli and Edythe L. Broad Dean Robert Duncan. "We are proud to add these students to the ranks of our alumni."

Broad's Weekend MBA program expanding to Troy


This fall, in response to student and alumni suggestions, the Weekend MBA program will expand beyond East Lansing, where it has been since 1995, to Troy, at the MSU Management Education Center.
