Eighteen Broad student athletes make Fall
Academic All-Big Ten Team

The Big Ten Conference recently announced its 2003 Fall Academic All-Big Ten Conference Team, and 67 Spartans were among those honored - the second-most of any Big Ten school. To be eligible for the Academic All-Big Ten team, athletes must be a letterwinner in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average of 3.0 or better. The following students have business majors, and the faculty and staff of The Eli Broad College of Business salute their tremendous efforts.

  • Junior Nathan Egger, Men's Cross Country runner from Bath, Mich., is a Marketing major with a 3.95 GPA
  • Senior Cindy Durocher, Women's Cross Country runner from Parry Sound, Ontario, is a Hospitality Business major with a 3.33 GPA
  • Senior Jamie Krzyminski, Women's Cross Country from Corunna, Mich., is a Finance major with a 3.90 GPA
  • Junior Chris Morris, Football player from Lambertville, Mich., is a Finance major with a 3.29 GPA
  • Junior Gordon Niebylski, Football player from Farmington, Mich., is a General Management major with a 3.60 GPA
  • Junior Chad Simon, Football player from Saginaw, Mich., is a Finance major with a 3.68 GPA
  • Senior Nick Binder, Men's Soccer player from Mason, Mich., is a General Management major with a 3.75 GPA
  • Senior Nick Degraw, Men's Soccer player from Clinton Township, Mich., is a Supply Chain Management major with a 3.08 GPA
  • Sophomore John Kaczmarek, Men's Soccer player from Plymouth, Mich., is a General Management major with a 3.12 GPA
  • Senior Jeffrey Krass, Men's Soccer player from Brighton, Mich., is a Supply Chain Management major with a 3.33 GPA
  • Senior Mike Robinson, Men's Soccer player from Troy, Mich., is a Marketing major with a 3.52 GPA
  • Senior Kevin Wittig, Men's Soccer player from Newtown, Pa., is a Finance major with a 3.29 GPA
  • Sophomore Emma Harris, Women's Soccer player from Portage, Mich., is a General Management major with a 3.72 GPA
  • Senior Tiffany Laskowski, Women's Soccer player from Troy, Mich., is a Marketing major with a 3.06 GPA
  • Junior Ashley Lawson, Women's Soccer player from Burlington, Ontario, is a Marketing major with a 3.35 GPA
  • Senior Andrea Sied, Women's Soccer player from Livonia, Mich., is a General Business/Pre-Law major with a 3.79 GPA
  • Junior Kim Schram, Volleyball player from London, Ontario, is a Supply Chain Management major with a 3.46 GPA
  • Junior Diana Steplyk, Volleyball player from Libertyville, Ill., is a Marketing major with a 3.56 GPA

Broad's Weekend MBA program expanding to Troy


This fall, in response to student and alumni suggestions, the Weekend MBA program will expand beyond East Lansing, where it has been since 1995, to Troy, at the MSU Management Education Center.
