Broad School offers undergrad
International Business Specialization

The Broad School recently introduced a new undergraduate International Business Specialization to help students better understand their role in the global marketplace. But Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies Mike Mazzeo warns, "Students who are interested in this specialization can't just jump right into it. They need to be preparing for foreign language competency or already be competent when they apply, for instance. Students also need to gain experience outside of the U.S., either through overseas study programs or internships."

To help facilitate more study abroad experiences among all Broad School students, regardless of whether they choose the International Business Specialization, the college has strengthened the coordination between the Broad School Study Abroad Office and Undergraduate Academic Services. Earlier this month, Dan Dutkiewicz became the new director of Study Abroad Programs, a new position focused on developing programs and funding sources. Additionally, JoLee Black Bear, who's worked as an academic specialist in Undergraduate Academic Services since 2000, was promoted to coordinator of International Business Academic Services. Her new duties include overseeing the international business specialization, among other duties relating to Study Abroad from the academic side.
