EAST LANSING, Mich. (September 1, 2005) - The Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University (MSU) is featuring EDS Executive Vice President Steve Schuckenbrock as this year's Broad Executive Forum keynote speaker. The annual event will be held Wednesday, October 5, at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy, Mich., and the day's topic is "An Insider's Guide to Outsourcing."

"Outsourcing is one of the hottest business topics today, and Michigan's executives should arm themselves with as much information about it as possible to prepare for the future," says Robert Duncan, the Eli and Edythe L. Broad Dean of MSU's Eli Broad College of Business. "We strive to bring timely topics to our alumni and friends, and this year is no exception."

During the afternoon industry panel discussion, company leaders will discuss how their organizations are joining the outsourcing battle… or fighting it to the bitter end. The panel moderator is Jon Pepper, Ford Motor Company Director of Global Corporate Communications, and panel members include:

  • Dave Carlson, U.S. Business Leader of HR Outsourcing, Mercer HR Services
  • Mark Gaffney, President, Michigan State AFL-CIO
  • James Hoen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, TechTeam
  • Chuck Walker, President, Univertical Corporation

The day will start at 2 p.m. with a faculty-led workshop conducted by The John William Byington Endowed Chair in Global Marketing S. Tamer Cavusgil, followed by the panel discussion at 3:30 p.m. Schuckenbrock will speak following a reception and dinner. The conference fee is $115, and participants can register on-line at www.bus.msu.edu/bef or via phone at 517-432-9176.
