| Eyad (Ed) Batayeh, M.A., joined The School in October 2008. Mr. Ed Batayeh is the Undergraduate Programs Coordinator for The School of Hospitality Business. Mr. Batayeh received his Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 1992 and Masters of Arts in Educational Administration in 1996, both from Michigan State University. Ed has served as an academic advisor since 1996. In 2008, Ed received The Richard J. Lewis Quality of Excellence Award from the Eli Broad College of Business for the improvements made to the Broad Scholar Program which supports undergraduate research in the college. |

| Jan Van Lente is the Undergraduate Programs Adviser for The School of Hospitality Business. She joined The School in December of 2008, having served as an academic adviser at Michigan State University for over ten years. Ms. Van Lente has also worked in the Office of Study Abroad and has an extensive background in MSU's study abroad programs. |

| Authella Collins Hawks, M.Ed., is director of the Student and Industry Resource Center (SIRC) for The School of Hospitality Business. In this role she provides leadership for the placement of over 400 students in internship and graduate positions in The School. She also represents The School in developing and maintaining relationships with the industry, networking with hospitality business alumni, and participating in industry functions and special events. |

| "SIRC" is the career services office for The School of Hospitality Business. We are your "concierge", and our most important job is assisting you, our students. SIRC will send you regular e-mail updates on company visits and job opportunities, speak in classes, and chat with you one-on-one. Remember, an effective concierge has good connections and uses them for your benefit. So come to our office and introduce yourself to the SIRC staff and talk to us about how we can help you!
