Welcome to the 2009-10 academic year! The School of Hospitality Business is pleased to offer our once-a-year scholarships (which cover both fall and spring semesters) to all eligible hospitality business students. In order to be eligible one must:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time student
  • Be a hospitality business major and remain as one for the academic year
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have hospitality industry work experience
  • Be an active member of at least one of the Hospitality Business student organizations - An Open House on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center (Lincoln Room), from 7-9 p.m., will give students an opportunity to get an overview of all the Hospitality Business student organizations and allow you to sign up as a member.

The deadline for the 2009-10 academic year is Friday, October 2, 2009, before 4:30 p.m.; you must bring your completed scholarship package (see below) to 232 Eppley Center. Please note that all scholarships awarded from The School of Hospitality Business require a thank you letter.

You may apply for three different kinds of scholarships.

  1. Scholarships requiring selection by The School's Scholarship Committee*
  2. Scholarships requiring nomination by The School's Scholarship Committee with selections made by the sponsoring organization*
  3. Scholarships whose selections are made without the input of The School's Scholarship Committee*

For the first two scholarship categories above, please click on The School's Scholarship Application. Fill it out completely, and note that on page six you may indicate specific scholarships which you are interested in receiving. If the Scholarship Committee believes you meet the application criteria for those scholarships, it will either select or nominate you for the scholarships you indicate.

For the last scholarship category, you must review the criteria for each individual scholarship and apply on your own.

The School's scholarship application for the upcoming school year will be available one week prior to Fall classes.
