| Due to Marcus Hotels and Resorts dedication and focus on a strong Midwest market presence we can offer some the most interesting, exciting, and convenient internship opportunities. The Grand Geneva Resort and Spa is our largest operation and usually employees over 20 interns each summer. Interns are placed in various departments of our properties based on need, availability and qualifications. Any of our 18 properties can offer internship opportunities. Some properties such as the Grand Geneva can even offer affordable housing to interns and trainees.
Some of the possible areas of internship employment are:
• Front Office
• Reservations
• Housekeeping
• Restaurants
• Beverage Service
• In Room Dining
• Banquets
• Spa Operations
• Guest Services
• Golf Course Operations (Summer Only)
• Ski Operations (Winter Only)
Internships are available to students regardless of class standing (Freshman to Senior); some weight however is placed on a maturity, previous experience, and proximity to date of graduation.
Due to the current difficult economy we have even be willing to offer graduate internships for the students finishing the MSU program and open to creative ways to break into the hospitality business with an industry leader like Marcus Hotels and Resorts.
