Bio(s)
- Dr. Hult is Professor International Business, with specialty areas in global strategy and supply chain management. He is Acting Associate Dean for Global Initiatives and Director of the International Business Center (IBC). IBC consists of a seven-figure budget, 9 full-time staff, 27 student assistants, and a virtual team of 170 faculty and specialists. The center houses MSU-CIBER, CIBERweb, Academy of International Business, and the Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan. IBC is the developer of globalEDGE; the world's leading online source for international business information. Dr. Hult serves as Executive Director of the Academy of International Business and has been Deputy Editor-in-Chief (2006-2007) and Department Editor (2002-2005) of the Journal of International Business Studies. He is Editor of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. Dr. Hult has also been Associate Editor of Journal of Operations Management and is currently Associate Editor of Decision Sciences and Journal of Supply Chain Management, and serves on the review boards of Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Marketing, among others. His research has been cited more than 4,000 times (Google Scholar). A dual citizen of Sweden and the U.S., Dr. Hult has been in the U.S since 1987 and at Michigan State University since January 2001. He also holds Visiting Professorships at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark (2008-2011) and Leeds University in England (2010-2011).
