- John A. Hannah Professor of Organizational Behavior. Professor Ilgen received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining the faculty in 1983, he taught at Purdue University and was a visiting professor at the University of Washington and the University of Western Australia. Ilgen's research interests include the general topics of work motivation, job satisfaction, and leadership. Most recently he has studied team decision making. He is the author of several articles on these topics and a co-author of two books. He is the editor of Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and on the editorial boards of four other journals. Ilgen is a fellow of the American Psychological Society and the American Psychological Association. He is also a member of the Academy of Management.
