The Executive Summit
The Executive Summit is an annual, signature event that was conceived as the academic equivalent of the Davos Economic Summit in Switzerland. This event provides an unparalleled opportunity to interact with leading edge thinkers from academe and the practitioner world. The Summit brings together senior industry executives and thought leaders from diverse industries, to discuss challenges that they face in today’s competitive environment.
The Executive Summit is designed for senior officers interested in leadership, strategic change and the competitive advantage that can be earned through superior supply management performance. Typical attendees will include: Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Supply Chain Management Officers and their direct reports.
The inaugural Executive Summit was held in September 2007 and focused on “Competitive Advantage and Supply Network Excellence in the 21 st Century.” The Executive Summit II took place on September 22-24 and examined “Leadership and Strategic Change: Pathways to Organizational Transformation”
The Executive Summit highlights challenges and opportunities that both academe and industry must address. As one of the preeminent academic programs in supply chain management, the Broad School is proud to host the Summit.
The Executive Summit III will be held on April 19-22, 2010 at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development. The Summit is a “by invitation only” event. Please contact Jamie Sanchagrin at sanchagrin@bus.msu.edu if you are interested in learning more about the event and how your company can participate in future Summits as we continue to explore important challenges that confront industries in their quest for excellence.
