Structure
The MSSCM degree is a limited-residency program, requiring 36 credits taken over 19 or 31 months through a combination of four intensive in-residency modules and additional Web-based classes. The schedule is intentionally planned to minimize work disruption. Technology is used to leverage the learning experience and to provide maximum flexibility. An additional six on-line credits are required for students with non-business undergraduate degrees.
The in-residence modules run for 12 days, starting Friday and ending Wednesday afternoon, scheduled in May and August during each of two academic years. In-residence classes include case studies, breakout sessions and simulation assignments featuring state-of-the-art programs. Classes are held at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development - a high-tech facility that offers a variety of amenities.
E-learning modules are scheduled in the fall and spring semesters between in-residencies. The e-learning assignments include class material, literature review, interactive case participation, simulations, software applications and interactive discussions.
