Degree Requirements
There are school-level and university-level requirements that have to be met in terms of formal credit hours. Our priority is to ensure compliance with credit hour requirements. This can include MBA-level courses to develop business concepts background, and competency in the areas of economics and statistics courses as advised. Typically, we also try to leverage independent study course work into meeting the formal requirements. While performance on structured, written tests is important, our belief is that the most critical skill that needs to be developed in future scholars is the ability to do independent research in the absence of structure. Matriculating students will meet with the senior logistics faculty (the Logistics Doctoral Program Committee) to discuss and develop a tailored program of coursework.
